Our campaign set out to raise awarenessof the financial challenges facing Birmingham City Council (BCC) and the potential impact on residents. We have raised the profile of the Assets of Community Value (ACV) register and encouraged adding to it - an important step in empowering residents to protect places they care about. BCC are now auditing community assets and identifying those for ‘disposal’ and the focus of the campaign has moved to supporting community groups that are exploring the options of taking over community assets, primarily via the process of Community Asset Transfer (CAT).
