Birmingham City Council are starting the process of reviewing their Youth Centres and have provided the below information to us at the Save Birmingham campaign.
They would like to hear from community groups that are interested in supporting the future running of these centres - please contact them directly to request more information regarding any of the sites.
At this stage, we have no further information about the future of these Youth Centres if suitable community partners are not identified, and are assuming that there is a real risk of these centres being closed and the buildings sold.
Please contact us at Save Birmingham if you have concerns about Youth Centres - we are happy to collate and prepare a response to BCC on their proposals.
We can also offer support and guidance on the Community Asset Transfer (CAT) process:
- Resources on our website here
- A recording of a CAT information session from our partners BCM here
- Contact us directly via contact@savebirmingham.org
